A place for the little ones

to play

We've created a fantastic play area, designed with babies, toddlers, and young children in mind.

You can watch your little ones have heaps of fun while relaxing with a drink and something to eat.

We charge £1 per child to use our play area, and 50p for siblings, but if you spend £10 or more, or visit after 2pm anyday then it's FREE!

Support networks for new and expectant parents

We host some brilliant baby and toddler groups, coffee mornings, and there's always more in the pipeline!

Food and Drink

at The Blue Bear

Everyone is welcome at The Blue Bear and although we have a play area for 0 - 5 year olds, you do not need a little one to come and enjoy our coffees, lunches, snacks and cakes.

Our coffee beans come from a local coffee supplier in Manchester. They love coffee just as much as we do, and they helped us to choose our beast of a coffee machine - the La Spaziale S5!

If a good cup of tea is more your thing, we have a lovely selection of loose leaf teas from the Cheshire Tea Company. We have two caffeine free options too.

We also have toasted sandwiches, Panini & bagels which are all prepared freshly on site. What we're most proud of are our offerings for the smaller ones - toddler finger food platters, kids pizza toasties, and smoothies packed full of nutrients and yumminess!

On May 1st 2019 the business changed ownership & name, the new owners will be keeping the same concept for the cafe along with expanding its current clientele, bringing in new idea`s throughout 2020, with new group events, also enjoy our Free wifi whilst enjoying a coffee, you do not need a little one to enjoy our food and drink, but if you have a little one between 0 - 5 years old as new owners we have made the play area free after 2pm everyday, as well as having the cafe open 7 days a week, so please come along and enjoy.
